“I love the classic Traxxas 2wd platforms. It is impossible not to like them.” – Chris

Now for those of you who are new to the RC world, when I say “classic” I am referring to the Slash, Rustler, Stampede and Bandit.

The Stampede has oversize wheels, a tall gorgeous body and rolls over anything in its path. I always like bigger vehicles but once you drive the sleek Bandit or Rustler you will see why these cars are so much fun to bash around. The Rustler especially is a road hog. Charge up the included 8.4v nimh battery, throw it on the ground and rip it. The Slash is a capable 2wd short course truck that is more appealing to those looking for a scale looking truck.

The 4 classic models share most of their parts with each other which means that there is a great selection of both stock and after market parts for these vehicles. We stock hundreds of Traxxas parts at the shop and we have serviced them for years. We like how you can change almost any part in less than 15 minutes and I find the hardware they use is above average which makes removing bent screws a breeze. Chris’s House stocks a large amount of aftermarket aluminum and RPM parts for the Slash, Bandit, Stampede and Rustler. This is great for all of you who love modding your vehicles until the only thing left stock are the bearings.

The body colour selections these vehicles come in are great and the chrome on the rims is knock-out gorgeous. Tire quality is also above average for a RTR {ready to run} vehicle. The tires hook up on any terrain and allow the vehicle to handle much better than other brands on the market. Tires are one area that most manufactures overlook and that’s sad because a car is only as good as the wheels they roll on.

Traxxas knows they have hit a home run with the classics. They have been relatively unchanged over the past 15 years and are true testament to “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

If you are looking to get started in the hobby or just add another solid 2wd platform to your fleet of cars stop on by and let us show you how fun owning a Traxxas can be.
