2016 At Chris' House RC CARS In Hamilton

Predictions are tricky. We hear a lot of speculation and hopes from our customers and it looks like 2016 will be full of surprises. Here are a few things we know that are going to be coming out in the next few months.

Axial is working on a 2nd generation SCX10, details are fuzzy but it’s in the mix we know this because we are seeing discontinued status for many scx rtr and kit variants.

Redcat Racing is releasing a Brand new 1/5 rock crawler by March 2016 and I can’t wait. Now this isn’t something I have had too many requests for but I can tell you the move to large scale is appealing for many novice, intermediate and advanced builders out there.

ECX has a new kit on the horizon {pun intended} The ever popular ECX amp monster truck will be coming in a Ready To Run kit version. I literally spilt all my coffee down the front of me when I saw this release. A novice product that you can build that is fun and under $200 THAT’S AMAZING!!!. Now for those out there new to the RC world, In the 70’s and 80’s everything came in Kit form. This whole RTR thing where you take the car out of the box and run it right away has been only popular the last 15 or so years. This hobby was built on kits for many people and it’s great to see some new life being injected into the kit segment.

HPI is building a rock crawler. It looks great and the scaler community seem interested. However it might be a little too late to the party, but hey maybe it will bring some nachos and dip and be a big hit.

Direction of Chris’s House for 2016

Chris’s House has some fun plans in store for 2016. We will be adding more products and more service, with a huge focus on novice and intermediate customers. I like to look at the problems first hand and come up with solutions. The biggest problem in my eyes is the amount of misinformation potential RC enthusiasts and newcomers receive. I am working on several myth busting challenges to better educate new customers to make sure that once they enter this fun hobby that they stay in the hobby and join the thousands of other RC nuts we have come in our shop on a regular basis.

Chris’s House will be giving more back to the community through food drives and raffles. I always enjoyed doing food drives in the past however space was always tight and this year we have resources to do more , so we will.

2016 will be a great year for our shop and we can’t wait to share it with all of you. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions. If there is something you would like to see more of in the coming year feel free to pick up the phone or swing by and share how you would like Chris’s House to help you even more.
