Chassis & Body Design

The Bigwig 2017 stays true to its iconic 1986 design, blending classic aesthetics with modern updates for an unforgettable off-road RC experience. Designed by renowned Japanese designer Takuya Yura, the streamlined polycarbonate body delivers advanced aerodynamics, ensuring both style and performance. Retaining the original Mooncraft logo, the bold markings and color scheme pay homage to its legendary predecessor. The durable ABS resin bathtub frame provides a rigid and lightweight structure, making it resistant to impacts while maintaining excellent stability on rough terrain. Drivetrain

At the heart of the Bigwig 2017’s performance is its shaft-driven 4WD system, which offers superior power transfer and durability for conquering challenging terrain. Full ball bearings throughout the drivetrain ensure maximum efficiency and reduced friction, improving both speed and longevity. The 3-bevel differential gears provide smooth power distribution to all four wheels, enhancing cornering stability and allowing the buggy to handle various off-road conditions with ease. Powered by a 540-Type Torque Tuned brushed motor, this RC buggy delivers reliable acceleration and torque, making it ideal for tackling dirt, gravel, and rough tracks. The included HobbyWing THW 1060 ESC is compatible with 2S-3S LiPo batteries, giving drivers the flexibility to fine-tune performance to their liking.

Suspension
